Replacing the Brake Pads (Disc System)

After choosing the pads recommended by the manufacturer, take a set of tools, unscrew the wheel nuts, jack up the vehicle, and remove the wheel. To begin with the replacement of pads it is necessary on the cooled down machine (so that the details of brake mechanism were cooled down), on the flat area without a slope, and with the substituted support (except the jack) under the bottom. Use the chocks under wheels.

Unscrew the cover of the brake fluid reservoir (to make it easier to press the brake piston).
Unscrew the caliper guides, and if there are fixing brackets, remove them with a screwdriver. If the truck is equipped with a pad wear sensor then disconnect the connector.
With a screwdriver, unscrew the pads (insert a strong flat screwdriver between the pads) to push the brake piston. Remove the old pads. Clean the place of installation of dirt.
